Monastery recently celebrated the launch of the now sold out Attar 20ml tube in New York at the esteemed Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery.
Jacqueline, a dear friend of Monastery, designed the Monastery flagship spa in San Francisco. Her discerning eye for detail, unfettered knowledge of the design world and elevated taste is unmatched. The backdrop of her namesake's gallery's recent exhibition ‘A Room is an Archive of Touch’ was an inspiring location for friends of the brand to gather.
Attar is Monastery’s best-selling balm. After many years of customers asking for a smaller size, we are pleased to offer our cult favorite in a 20ml aluminum tube - perfect for throwing in your bag. Each guest left with an Attar for their summer travels.
An impressive vessel of chrysanthemums designed by Miguel Yatcher of Agmos Muni welcomed guests into the space. Guests enjoyed small bites from Suea inspired by the Athena coin on our packaging. Wine from Vivanterre and Aplōs cocktails were served. The evening was spent catching up with friends, partners in the city and supporters of the brand while also enjoying the exhibition on view.
“Jac and I have wanted to do something in her space for some time, but aligning our schedules was tough. She seems to constantly be in Europe for the gallery, and I have been growing the professional side of Monastery domestically. When she told me that she had an exhibit coming up that's focus was physical touch "A Room is an Archive of Touch," we knew that this was the one that Monastery had to be a part of. I developed Monastery in the treatment room for my facial clients and touch, most specifically connection, was the driving inspiration for the brand. Planning an event from afar can be challenging but one thing that makes it so much easier is when it doesn't need to be styled. Thanks Jac and team for creating a space that was perfect as is.”
